We all have expectations. We expect the rain, breakfast, the actions of our loved ones, life and death...and taxes. We expect all the time. In this book a woman expects to be swept off her feet by her Hollywood crush, the guests at a dinner party expect the end of a pandemic, and a young boy expects to solve Global Warming with a chair, a fan and a really long extension cord.

These short stories involve a range of characters, old and young, healthy and ill, hopeful and despondent, all of whom have strong expectations for the future.
