Our minds have become cluttered with conflicting thoughts of optimism and pessimism, love and hatred, peace and discomfort. With these internal battles come questions of who we are and why we’re here. Our emotions tend to control how we react to various circumstances, so it’s no wonder we have difficulty controlling them.

This collection of poetry is a journey inside of the sometimes chaotic chambers of my thoughts. These thoughts are meant to serve as starting points for the external conversations we don’t always know how to dive into. The poems also allow every reader to know they are not alone in their feelings, no matter what they are.

We are imperfect beings, but for some reason, we like to pretend we all have it together. This collection of poetry is me embracing my imperfections in an effort to improve. The things I can never seem to vocalize have been written so that I will be able to recall my past, enjoy my present, and try my best to prepare for my future.
