Becoming Like Jesus

In this workbook, the emphasis is upon learning more from the Christ of faith and becoming faithful disciples of Jesus. Then, while faithfully following Jesus and trying to be like Him, you can actually become more like Him. Although there are almost always women present when Jesus speaks, Matthew's gospel is focused upon a primarily male audience. Along with the other three canonical gospels, it constitutes the heart of the faith of Christians during those first centuries after Christ's birth. In the years just before Christ's birth, Jews throughout the Roman Empire were praying fervently for the coming of the Messiah [Hebrew] or Christ [Greek]. Matthew testifies to how people responded to the Jesus of history, and how Jesus truly is the promised Messiah.
