NOW IN PAPERBACK! A very special foal is born west of George Town, Kentucky, only to be separated from his brother by a flood. Years later, a brutal former boxer from Philadelphia, Anton Greeley, moves to the community to challenge the land rights of innocent farmers and ranchers. The townspeople rise up against him behind Will Richards, the largest cattle rancher in Scott County, who beats Greeley down in front of everyone on the courthouse steps one night. What happens next involves, at first, a sinister scheme of retribution by Greeley. The plan, however, is sidetracked by hillbillies, villains, drunks, thieves, a murder, Frenchmen, and a devious oaf in this action-filled quest for the West. J. WESLEY is a retired attorney who has always been interested in the American West. His family continues to hike and ski throughout Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, California and Oregon. Horses have also been a large part of their lives. Over the years, two of their children have competed in equestrian events throughout Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio. Missouri, Florida and Texas. The writings from this book are based on made-up bedtime stories the author used to tell his children when they were young.
