Chen is a fabulous center fielder when he's out in the field, but his confidence drops when he is in an unfamiliar situation. Over the summer break, Coach Threads puts on a baseball clinic and asks the All-Stars to help coach the younger kids. With all the parents and kids watching him speak in public, Chen's confidence falters and he quits in the middle of the lesson.

Coach Threads talks to him about the importance of stepping up as a leader, not just for the outfield and his team, but for all the young players who look up to him. Chen realizes that he is letting his teammates and the kids at the clinic down by not sharing his knowledge. He decides not to let his fear of speaking in public get in the way and goes back out on the field to teach at the clinic. When he is done, he feels like a true All-Star!
