Traverse is a book of images and words by artist Power Boothe and writer Laurence Carr. Based on one of Boothe's sketchbooks of 8-inch by 8-inch paintings and drawings, Carr independently wrote a companion series of 8-line pieces: poems, micro-essays, scientific investigations and translations. These images and writings came together to create Traverse, a study revealing the cosmology of a people who live in the past, present and future simultaneously. Traverse is their collective archive, transcribed by a contemporary artist and writer.
