The Tithe is Holy

As I wrote this book, America was experiencing the worst economic trouble since the 1920s. Businesses were closing, thousands of homes were in forclosure, and bankruptcies were common place. I noticed many in my congregation were struggling as well, being hit with job layoffs and other financial setbacks. I was talking to God about this and I asked Him, Why is my congregation hurting financially during this recession? Where is the God of abundance? On January 26, 2010 at 1:15AM, I was awakened from a deep sleep as God spoke very loud and clear in my heart, four simple words, The Tithe is Holy! As I begin to ponder these words over the next few weeks and study them out, revelation begin to flow. Scriptures opened up to me in a whole new way. This teaching has completely transformed how our church views tithing and how we give our tithes. Perhaps it’s time for you to take a new look at what the Word says about the tithe and try something different. Our God has more than enough to provide for His children. Trust Him and don’t settle for anything less than His abundance!
