After the betrayal of a close friend, both Liddy and Will were forced to flee Mortalia. Their harrowing escape, made possible only by the sacrifice of a loved one, has left them broken and traumatized. The transport to Cristes didn't go as smoothly as they'd hoped. Liddy is fighting to overcome devastating injuries while struggling with guilt over the actions and decisions that led her to this point. Meanwhile, Will is torn between his loyalty to Liddy and his growing obligations to Cristes.
