It is My Turn to Be the Leader children’s book stemmed from a research study by the author, Dr. Angela Jiles-Charles. The book provides young girls with the understanding that it is ok for girls to be leaders and learn from others while having fun. Tee, Isaiah, and Desmond are playing soccer, but Isaiah, the oldest sibling, has always taken on the role of the leader. However, today will be a different day, and with their neighbor, Desmond, he has his own agenda. Chunkie, the family pet, has an exciting role in the book too.
