Following the trials of Vandelas Kronas, a young Luchs begins his adventure into knighthood undertaking page training on a remote island. He and the other boys training alongside him risk life and limb fighting the elements and each other to better themselves and prepare for inevitable warfare.

While Luchs is interested in taking a knight’s shield to repay the noble family who took him in, they insisted that he reconsider. He was once a slave to be bought and sold until being liberated from his captors by the Ederean army, but not before suffering amnesia from the abuse.
