Would reality defeat their dream? Or would God give them a breakthrough? Jon and Jerri heard Jesus’ voice and followed Him into one of the world’s most militarized zones-the disputed area between Pakistan and Northern India. The goal-to multiply God’s blessing in Jesus among a people with no other obvious hope of hearing and following Him. Yet all the ways Jon knew for leading others to Jesus were totally inadequate for this situation.

After days of prayer and fasting, God led Jon to write a simple story based on Jesus’ encounter with Nicodemus. Before dawn, Jon told it to the first person he could find-the hotel chef. Upon hearing the story, this man wanted to follow Jesus immediately.

That evening this new believer brought nine other to hear the story. And in just two short hours, all nine wanted to follow Jesus.

5 Minutes to Eternity is the true story of what happened as an elderly couple heard and followed Jesus, then taught those God drew to also hear and follow Jesus. Immediately, these new believers began sharing with their family and friends, forming teams, and taking the gospel to other people groups and places.

The resulting Lifestory movements mirror the book of Acts-new believers hearing and following Jesus, and telling others who He is and inviting them to follow Him. Trusting these new believers to hear and follow Jesus has led to a rapid multiplication of new disciples, and God’s blessing in their households and communities.
