Seven year old Milo is fascinated by the Moon. He looks out of his window before bedtime and dreams about this magical bright light in the sky. Milo soon becomes determined to take a mission up to the moon to play. He plans to leave when the sun sets and the moon is bright, but suddenly; he remembers that his mom told him that the moon was very far away. Milo still insists on his journey anyway, and he wonders if he should take a car, plane, jet, or even a boat.

As Milo prepares for take-off, he discovers that the moon is out of sight! Milo panics in the midst of a failed mission and runs to get his mom. His mom comes to the rescue and they take an imaginative and exciting journey through space, exploring the moon as it goes through each of its mysterious phases! They even get to enjoy Milo’s favorite pizza while on their journey! Milo’s appetite for learning about the moon is satisfied and so is his tummy!
