Lysandra, mercenary turned government agent, has had the course of her life changed by her experiences with the Elbie in ways she could not have predicted. Because of the Elbie, she found her brother and escaped her life of crime while making new friends, including her growing love for Edward.

Elbie have used humans for their survival all these years. They arrived on Earth as energy but have been made something new as they’ve woven themselves into the fabric of human society on every continent. While they have influenced the course of people’s lives, that influence has been limited. Until now.

The Elbie recruit Lysandra to help them escape their human hosts but her help comes at a high price. This requires some specialized help from her old criminal organization and betraying the DPA once again, only this time of her own agency. Returning to her criminal roots will haunt her in more ways than one.
