The book unfolds with a moving preface written by brother Richard as an affirmation to his love for his younger brother. The two had been working on a book of their favorite poems coupled with family recipes when Terry suddenly died of a massive stroke. On the day of his death, before Richard had received news of his passing, he clearly heard Terry’s cockney voice urging him on: ‘Know wot, Rich? I fink you should finish the book.’

Richard enlisted the help of another brother Paul, also a chef, who put the final touches on the recipes that were among Terry’s favorites. The result is a deeply moving testament to family, hope, and the unexpected losses in life that can bind us together.
