Studying Birds

What makes a bird, a bird? They’re beaks look different because different kinds of birds eat different things. They have wings, but some kinds don’t fly. In this book, readers learn both by reading information about birds, but also by observing birds they see in their community! Five activities show readers ways they can be citizen scientists by tracking bird species as well as their adaptations and habitats.
