Vampires: are strange creatures created from normal people; drained of their blood and then given the special "vitae" that fills the veins of vampires, they become creatures of the night, if only because the light of the sun is deadly to them. They can manifest strange powers using vitae. They live off the blood of normal people. Ghouls: Normal people who have been given vampiric vitae outside of the process to turn them into vampires. They do not suffer the ravages of age while it is within them and they can use their supply in a manner like a vampire. Revenant: Through a complex process, a normal person is born with vitae and can get it to slowly increase by consuming their own normal blood. Such people do not need vampires to sustain their vampiric powers, but sometimes there are advantages of doing so. This is the story of the Revenant Jessica and her descent into madness.
