THE CHICAGO MUTE BRIEF When we meet a person, what do we see? Do we see their character or color of skin? When we are told someone was reported for an offence, do we hear that they are guilty or not guilty? What we see and what we hear are tested when two attorneys, formerly dating lovers, were asked to examine the truth in this Chicago Mute Brief. Jude Lawrence Fishbone was a private attorney of African American origin who had dated, for five years until this case, a successful Prosecution Attorney in the District Attorney's office, Deputy District Attorney Lauren Martinez, herself of Latina Mexican-American extraction. There is a case of murder to be tried before, no other than, Justice John Thomas Marshall, a fifth-generation descent of the fourth Chief Justice of USA. He prided himself as a man of blind justice and a beacon of freedom in a world troubled by shadows. The accused is a deaf and dumb, white, blonde woman. The victim was a, twice commended, ranking officer of the Chicago Police Department. This incident occurred in November 2016. Is this deaf and dumb white woman caught with the murder weapon and accused of murder in the first degree guilty or not guilty? We must be crystal clear! This case will test our conscience, truths, beliefs, hearts and subconscious bias or prejudices. You are welcome to Chicago. It is windy, cold, temperamental and often unpredictable. Does the weather speak for the people or the people for every weather?
