As an award-winning author recognized by Toastmasters of San Antonio, Texas, Mary Aparisi has three loves: writing for young people, writing for theatre, and humorous prose. Her work has appeared in the Maryland English Journal, Dawn Is After the Turkey Calls, a play for youth for the United Methodist Church, A Journey with Paul, and Susanna Wesley, a one-actress play in which she appeared in historic churches in Maryland. She worked on a committee to produce La Merienda (The Luncheon), a play presented at the Spanish Governor's Palace in San Antonio.
