John was one of Jesus' Apostles, even present at His crucifixion. This story picks up John's life some years later after he had been imprisoned by the Roman Emperor at the Isle of Patmos and subsequently released by Emperor Trajan. He had a message for each of the seven churches. "The Messenger" is a fictional account of his experiences and people he met traveling to these churches about 100 AD. He influenced the lives of many people and was himself influenced by others.
