Missy Goes to Mississippi (MGM) is about a 7 year old girl, her Mother, and 2 year old Brother getting an emergency call in California to go to Biloxi, MS to see about the children's Grandfather Percy who is sick. It's summer time so Missy is not in school. They catch a plane and are on their way. It's a long trip with a young child who is tired and crying. Missy is babysitting and in charge. She makes a game of his crying and mean mug strangers. A Cousin, Tony, picks them up at the airport. Weeks go by and Grandfather (GF) is feeling better, Missy and her Mother go for a walk to Biloxi's Back Bay. Missy discovers a frog in the grass who comes out and follows her. Missy begs her Mom to allow her to take the frog back to the house with them. She enjoys her new pet and calls him Old Sad Eyes. She dreams of him being a prince in search of his princess. Day after day, Old Sad Eyes stays the same. Eventually, GF is well, no longer sick. It's time for plans to be made to return to California. Mother know that Missy needs to get back home to enroll into school. Missy has enjoyed her visit but misses her family back home. Now, she has to return her pet frog to where she found him. She kisses him goodbye. He hops his old sad eyes away. Misses day dreams about the two of them and how happy they would have been as Prince and Princess. Finally, the day comes to head to the airport to leave. Their Biloxi family is there to see them off. Missy, her Mother, and baby Brother board the airplane. Their family waves to them as the airplane rises high in the sky and disappears. The End
