Holly Beauregard had always wanted to be a best-selling author. And she's also a hopeless romantic, searching for her soulmate. But Holly believes that it would take a Christmas miracle for both of her dreams to come to reality.

Then one day, with the encouragement of a kindly old lady who looks a lot like Mrs. Claus, Holly is given a special typewriter to create her story about her ideal love.

The next day, she is shocked to find her main character moving in across the hall from her! Not only that, but the fictional town, and supporting characters that Holly created emerge into real life as well.
