At five o'clock, horses Bonnie and Carlos are ready for dinner, but Bonnie wants something other than hay. Carlos knows a place up in the Blue Ridge where they can find some more interesting snacks. It’s a scary journey, but they’re both willing to make the trek. They come upon a plantain tree, so they collect these yummy fruits in their straw baskets to bring back home. It’s dangerous up in the mountains, so they stay close together to keep each other safe, all while witnessing beautiful, wild things. Two brave horses faced the unknown and worked together to bring back treats for their family to eat, and now Bonnie and Carlos now have stories to tell-and recipes to share!
