In memory of her and the legacy she left, her family has published her poems and provided their own commentary to offer readers insight into the wonderful woman they knew. Among the poem topics include racial tensions, living the Christian way, and loving and caring for family. Charlotte Griggs was born in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Miami Northwestern High school in 1960. She is the mother of 3 sons. She moved to New Jersey and operated her own business for 34 years as a medical transcriptionist. She earned her Business Administration Degree at Iona College in Yonkers, New York. Charlotte Griggs now lives in Tamarac, Florida with her two sons.
