Ms. Dublin’s passion for writing poetry and lyrics began when she was a young girl in her native homeland, Guyana, where she used pencil, now pen, to make sense of her ever-changing world. She immigrated to Barbados, where she lived for a few years, and then to the United States in the late 1990s. With her love for people and a desire to be an agent of change, she worked over eighteen years in the nonprofit sector, advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities. To stay connected to the pulse of her community, she regularly volunteers at her local church. She currently resides in the United States, with her loving family, and is continuing her musical education at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. As an accomplished opera singer and music teacher, she draws from her eclectic life experiences, to bring joy and a fresh perspective to the world, through poetry and music.
