The Author started this project at age 96, learning how to use a computer and how to write at that late date. It began upon the urging of his daughters as a memoir of what life was like in the U.S. 100 years ago for the benefit of his great grand-children, but it quickly became apparent that the writing was a voyage of self-discovery and for the Author’s own benefit primarily: thus it became a full fledged autobiography.

It was written without research or reference to journals or diaries of which there are none. The Author relied on his memories which encompass a lifetime which saw great change in our society, in our social relations, our technology, our place in the world order.

The thread in the recall of all these various interests and adventures is the Author’s search for proof of the existence of Deity and the implications of Infinity; this passion developed and became more urgent over the Author’s lifetime and he feels his advancing age the past five years have freed him to reveal and share his innermost beliefs in spite of his natural reticence. He looks forward to his coming change with joy and anticipation.
