You Bet Your Life was a humorous "quiz show" that aired on radio starting in 1947, and then on television from 1950 to 1961. The show was hosted by Groucho Marx, with his announcer George Fenneman.

This book is a continuation of that program, with channeled messages from Groucho and his mostly more contemporary guests who are also physically deceased: John Lennon, George Harrison, Bob Hope, Leslie Nielsen, Gene Hackman, George Burns, Freddie Mercury, Bob Newhart, John Candy, and George Carlin.

Similar to the television program, Groucho asks each of the contestants one question in each round, with a chance to win a prize if they say "the secret word." The dialogue and answers are always funny, and even hilarious - often providing comical insights into life after death.

You will hear their voices, personalities, and each one's unique sense of humor coming through in all of these quiz show rounds.

Announcer: "It's time for You Bet Your Life After Death with your host, Mr. Groucho Marx!"
