Until King begins to experience constant bullying from Abioye, another lion cub and son of their tribe’s Pride Leader. While living under the Sudan sun, King questions what is the true importance of life. He realizes how life is different for everyone and how it can change someone. Is death easy to let go, or does grief never leave? Can friends become family, and can tradition hold them back? Through the years of a cub to adulthood, King learns these different prospects of life while trying to accomplish his own dream. His dream of becoming the Pride Leader.
