The Sounds of Silence is composed of three stories. In Mariweathers, Brent finds out the exponential effects of silence can be infinite. In the story Whole, Captain Jonas chases a sound that bears man’s greatest struggle. In the third story, Rumor Has It, Bishop Albertus Mongiano struggles with a silence that nearly destroys his life as a clergy. Albertus later discovers his silence bears the sound of falsity. But Albertus couldn’t distinguish truth without his divine faith.
