The book of Revelation belongs to a special classification of scriptural genre, most commonly this genre is classified as prophetic-apocalyptic (Dellaperute, 2018). It is classified as prophetic because it addresses events that are to take place in the future, but also it is classified as apocalyptic because it uses a great deal of symbolic imagery to communicate its message like that seen in some of the Old Testament prophets. The apocalyptic nature is usually the part of the book that gives most of the confusion as it pertains to a consistent hermeneutic when interpreting the Book of Revelation. In order for one can embrace the entire picture of what Revelation 12 is conveying prophetically: one must embrace the entire chronology of the struggle that has existed between the woman and serpent from the very beginning. Once this narrative is fully understood by the reader, the entire picture of Revelation 12 will be easily discerned. To conduct this aim, I will present a general commentary on Revelation 12 that will, logically, and chronologically conclude the eschatological summary revealed to the Apostle John on the Island of Patmos for the benefit of one teaching an Apostolic-Pentecostal Bible study.
