Over many years, volumes have been written about Jesus of Nazareth and the people with whom he associated. Very little has been written about Jesus as a young man...as a little child.

Jesus was a little boy at one time. A boy like any other little boy doing little-boy things, having friends, and helping his family with day-to-day tasks of ordinary life. As you read this narrative, you will meet two of his young friends, Bassam and Elahm, and an elderly man named Fayyaad, whose overwhelming generosity provided many new adventures for Jesus. Plus, Fayyaad's dealings with the nearby caravans and the stories he would share with Jesus would broaden Jesus's awareness of a larger community.

Along with his friends, Jesus learned a great deal from observing many different craftsmen and artisans around the village of Nazareth. And with this newly acquired knowledge, the band of boys would apply their skills to improve things at the "little family's" home. And with each success, the family would give thanks, and they would celebrate.
