To Five Forks and Back

Follow Joseph Stewart through his experiences in the American Civil War, particularly during one of the lesser-known battles--the Battle of Five Forks. In that battle, he became a hero for the Union Army, crossing paths with Confederate soldier Thomas Hurst in a moment that determined the victorious force. After the war, they coincidentally meet again. One is a recognized war hero, while the other is rebuilding his life post-war. Despite their past, they find themselves sharing similar successes, overcoming unusual obstacles in both business and love.

This is the story of an Irish immigrant whose circumstances brought him to a new country with nearly nothing to his name and into a war he had no desire to fight.
