The compilation of this poetry book has been done after a significant thought process and introspection by the poetess.

The poetry writing process started for the poetess after some difficult challenges and life situations in midlife; gradually, it became a means of expression of her inner feelings and frustrations.

Some of the poems are based on social inequalities, cultural and economic issues, others on relationships, love, travels and nature’s bounties. The smaller verses represent brief moments of happiness or a spiritual touch from somewhere.

The idea of publishing of this poem collection came about on my dear friend Anandhi’s suggestion, and she managed to convince me to bring out an e-book with the utmost care and hard work.

Earlier on in life, my parents being academicians in Hindi literature had always encouraged me to write and speak correct Hindi as a language and were my first inspiration in this journey.

I have tried to bring about some of the anomalies and corrupt practices of Indian society in my poems, which may be considered as somewhat controversial at times, and may lead people to raise eyebrows. However, there is no intention to hurt the feelings of any individual, group or society in the poems. These are totally unbiased and based on my own personal perceptions.

I hope this collection will appeal to the readers and all their feedback, positive or negative shall be welcome.
