It was 1966, and the Sierra Nevada mountains still held some of the wildness of the Old West, but the people who tamed it were even wilder.

This is the true story of two young wanderers, Jack and Ron, arriving in Truckee, California. Once settled in and strapped for cash, they're hired by a one-eyed trail boss, Ed-a whiskey-loving, dynamite-wielding legend with an uncanny knack for surviving his own mishaps. Under Ed's unorthodox guidance, the two set off on a summer job that leads them deep into the mountains, wielding axes, chainsaws, and plenty of explosives. Follow Jack as the spirit of the sixties blooms, the trails grow tougher, and the dynamite blasts grow bolder.
