Series Overview- Ichiro Inuyashiki is an upstanding citizen and family man who has worked tirelessly for many years to purchase a home for his family, but despite his efforts he is unappreciated and constantly disrespected by everyone around him. Because he looks closer to 80 instead of his actual age of 58, everyone treats him like a useless old man, his family constantly complains about him and don’t want to associate with him, and on top of everything else, he has just been diagnosed with stomach cancer and he has been given three months to live. Even with such grim news, it seems that the only person who will miss him is his newly acquired canine companion, Hanako. But one day, while walking Hanako through the park, a blinding light burns through the night sky and before he can realize what’s going on, Inuyashiki is hit by an extraterrestrial object. Shortly after, Inuyashiki finds himself oddly unscathed, but as time goes by, he comes to find that things are different for him after that fateful night in the park. Inuyashiki discovers that his body has been rebuilt by an as of yet unknown alien entity and his new cybernetic body has been endowed with amazing new powers. Though at first he is not sure what to make of everything, after unintentionally saving the life of a homeless man who was being bullied by unruly teenagers, Inuyashiki takes it upon himself to become a defender of those, like himself and the homeless man, who have been subjugated and bullied in our modern society. However, it turns out that Inuyashiki is not the only person with a new cybernetic body-there was also a young man near Inuyashiki on that night in the park-and this young man sees his new powers in a way that will eventually lead to them facing each other in a battle of good vs. evil.
