Stories from My Gramps features seven short stories about everyday events as experienced by a grandfather who lives far away from his grandchildren. The book was written and photographed as entertaining and educational situations originally sent as emails to his young grandsons. The main characters are some of the people that author Rodger Shagam meets on a daily basis, as well as animals and birds that he encounters during outdoor experiences and, of course, there’s Gramps himself, who is quite a character! Why write about your life? Because life is simply a never-ending story! Rodger Shagam was trained and worked as a graphic designer and creative director for a number of years in Cape Town, South Africa. More recently he developed a passion for photography. This is my first book. Hugely encouraged by my wife Maureen (a pre-primary remedial specialist) when I showed her the emails that I had been sending to my oldest grandson Jayden in Brisbane, Australia.
