To Dorothy and her friends’ surprise, the Land of Gargoyles is made of wood! The group puts up a fight against the wooden gargoyles, who snatch them up and put them in their prison. Zeb sneaks out to steal wooden wings so they can fly away. Soon, the group is flying through the air, but the gargoyles give chase! Oz uses magic to stop them, and the group hides inside a cavern.
