Lord Abernathy Finds a Home is a story for preschool and elementary grade school children. It is a story about a nine-week old kitten who was adopted from an animal shelter and now resides in a new home. Narrated by the cat, Lord Abernathy, he tells about adjusting to his new home and not being accepted by Bobsey and Little Girl, the other two cats in residence. Despite all the snarling and growling by Bobsey, and Little Girl’s unfriendliness, Lord Abernathy tries to win their friendship. * Emelda A. Sandra Edwards is the author of four self-published books: A CARIBBEAN STORY OF LOVE, LUST AND LIES; the sequel, A CARIBBEAN STORY OF HURT, HORROR AND HEALING; SMELL LIKE A ROSE - A CARIBBEAN STORY OF CRUELTY, CORRUPTION AND COMPASSION; and VIRGILANTE - A CARIBBEAN STORY OF VIOLENCE, VENGEANCE AND VICTORY. Also a playwright, her plays have been produced in the Virgin Islands and New York. The last production of her full-length play, EIGHT TO FIVE - GOVERNMENT WORKERS’ STYLE, in June 2010, drew sold-out audiences. Also known as Lady Brain, she has written calypso lyrics and participated in the local calypso competitions.
