Laurie’s Greenhouse is a great place for cats. There are plenty of spots for a cat like Geraldine to have her kittens. When her three are born inside a big flowerpot, all they want to do, after their eyes are open, is to climb out. No one at the greenhouse realizes that the kittens are even there until a month later. By that time, they are a little wild and hiss at anyone who comes close. The Greenhouse Cats are loved and well cared for, but it’s time that they leave their home and begin to explore. Once Geraldine’s kittens are old enough to go out on their own, they learn that life isn’t as easy as they once thought. As the kittens begin to experience problems in the outside world, they realize just how important family can be. This charming children’s book is just begging for a good home. Peg Davis was born and raised on a farm near Abernathy, Texas. Since retiring from the Lubbock Independent School District in 2006, she enjoys traveling, reading, sewing and writing. She lives in Lubbock with her 18-year-old cat, Tilly.
