In this classic Akkadian glossary, Bezold provides a brief entry for each word. He provides definitions in German and occasional parallel Akkadian terms. Following Bezold’s death, the text was prepared for press by Albrecht Gotze and Adele Bezold (Bezold’s wife). Frau Bezold also prepared an extensive index of German definitions.
