The Sonshine Tree

The Sonshine Tree Three tree seeds, Sonshine, Fearful and Prideful, sprout and grow in a happy forest where animals and birds romp and play. There is something wrong with Fearful and Prideful. They don’t grow as Sonshine grows. When the terrible storm comes, they have no roots to hold them securely. Prideful is lost, but Sonshine’s efforts result in a new birth for Fearful, and he gets a new name. Here’s a story with the drama of disaster and hope, of sadness and joy, with an inspiring message for children. About the Author JoAnn Parrott is the daughter of Jeff and Shirley Johnson. She was born in Prairie Du Chein, Wisconsin in 1946. According to her mother, JoAnn began telling stories at the early age of three. JoAnn met Jerry Parrott and they were married in 1965. They have three sons, Jeff, Chris and Matt, and two daughters, Julie and Bethany. Jerry did the majority of the illustrations in this book with contributions from all five children. JoAnn and Jerry live in Charleston, South Carolina. JoAnn is a prayer leader, writer and communicator using the internet to connect people of prayer within the State of South Carolina and beyond.
