This is a comprehensive review source for English-language reference materials. It contains nearly 1600 descriptive and evaluative entries written by subject specialists, and scholars that review materials from more than 300 publishers in nearly 500 subject areas. This edition reviews 1561 titles published in 2000. This total includes 192 dictionaries and encyclopaedia, 130 directories, and 235 handbooks and yearbooks. Coverage spans all disciplines, with more than 400 titles pertaining to humanities in general, more than 600 reviews for social science reference materials, and includes over 300 reviews dealing with science.
