This new book introduces the resident to key concepts and elements in the realm of ophthalmic surgery. It covers patient selection and preparations for both patient and surgeon, as well as surgical instrumentation and materials including loupes, microscopes, instruments, blades, suture materials, and needles. Seven specific aspects of surgery, from aseptic technique to wound construction, are thoroughly reviewed.
