This is a daughter’s journey with her mother as she faces emotional issues of anger and alcoholism and ultimately succumbs to the disease of Alzheimer’s. It demonstrates the struggle everyone affected by this tragic disease endures and the need for more research into an eventual cure. In the meantime, the reality of caregiving should be shared in order to be understood, so I wrote this book to possibly help someone like me. About the Author Patricia Mary Mayer has been writing poetry and short stories since childhood. She is a mother and a grandmother who is passionate about her family. This book is her first completed writing project, and it is a product of her own personal experience and her willingness to share her story with others for the purpose of bringing light to a very dark disease called Alzheimer’s. Patricia lives in New Jersey near her family.
