Four nations rose up for war in the Mediterranean arena: three, each different from the other, united to defeat the terrible beast, which was altogether different from the beasts before it. Though each was unlike the other, the first three united against the fourth; in him the beast had eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth, speaking pompous words.
