The purpose of this book is twofold: first, to provide children and young adults a basis for understanding the concept of sin in regards to choices; what’s right and what’s wrong. Secondly, that God loves them and has provided them an inner voice to help them in making choices regarding the realities of life. In decades past issues regarding God, the Bible, morality, integrity, and what’s right and wrong were generally taught and modeled in homes and our public school system. Today, instead, the rule is tolerance, whether right or wrong, and political correctness regardless of the consequences. Modern society, both governmental and the population in general, reflect the results of using these rules to govern choices and what’s right and what’s wrong. Therefore, the intention of this book is to stimulate children and young adults to THINK about choices, consequences, God, and His words to them, the Bible, so they can avoid the tragic pitfalls and consequences of Godlessness. This book is narrated by a character named Conscience, who represents the conscience that resides in each person and is brought forth in us by God. Conscience educates young readers on the importance of using one’s conscience for making choices and how the conscience is to build a stronger connection and dependence on God/Jesus, ultimately building a life-long and eternal relationship. The readers will get a sense of what their conscience means to them, as the character Conscience describes itself to them. The parallel drawn that a conscience is a gift from God is meant to be profound in meaning, but logical in thought as well. This book isn’t written to be judgmental, but to present a straightforward approach in explaining the benefits of applying a God-given conscience to life and the daily decision-making it entails.
