God’s Inspiration to Me

Edith J. Tomlin, an American author, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 21, 1924. 2014 is a milestone for Edith, as she will be 90 years young. She wrote her first poem/song at the age of ten years old in 1934. Edith has always prayed to leave a legacy of her creative works. Within the last 3 years she completed her manuscript and her dream of becoming a published author has been fulfilled. During the creation of her manuscript, every inspiration came from The Lord. Whenever Edith would awaken, sometimes in the middle of the night, the first two lines of the poems were created in her mind and The Lord would anoint her to write the rest of the poem. He also gave her the melodies for any of the poems that were also songs. Her loving husband of 53 ½ years, Vernon Tomlin, always encourages her to do whatever makes her happy. His loving support is truly a blessing! Edith’s church family, friends and members of her community are familiar with her talent to write and are her staunch supporters. They have been blessed many times by the beautiful words that Edith and The Lord have created. She wishes to touch many lives with her poetry and the fact that it is Christian based, many people will be blessed by this book.
