Frederik Sandwich and the Earthquake that Couldn’t Possibly Be

A delightfully strange and hilarious debut-perfect for Lemony Snicket and Trenton Lee Stewart fans Frederik Sandwich’s peaceful slumber is interrupted by an earthquake-an earthquake that he knows is completely implausible. But when he starts asking questions about what happened, he is told that he is forbidden to talk about it. Desperately seeking the truth, Frederik is lucky (or not, depending on how you look at it) to meet a mysterious stranger, Pernille, who thinks there must be a dastardly plot afoot. Together, the pair sets off on an adventure through abandoned train tunnels, into hidden library rooms, and to the shadowy City Hall in the dead of night to figure out what could have caused the inexplicable rumblings in their small town.
