In the deep, dark forest of Kaid, Mama Tula and Papa Rush live with their baby Reggie, a happy rabbit family. Mama and Papa love to race, just like all rabbits at that time. But not Reggie-whenever he tries to run, he stumbles, tumbles, and falls, tripping all over his very long ears.
Mama and Papa try to teach Reggie how to run by throwing a ball for him to chase, but his long ears still get in the way. He bounces and bounces as the ball flies high-and that is how Reggie learns to hop! Although he moves in a way that is different from the other rabbits, he still gets around quickly, going just as fast as other rabbits can run. The other young rabbits don't understand, though, and they laugh at Reggie, which hurts his feelings. His parents give him some good advice on what to do about his friends. When he goes out to find them, though, he encounters a hungry fox chasing one of the other rabbits! What can Reggie do?
This children's story tells the tale of a young rabbit who is different from his friends, showing the value of asking adults for advice and shares ways to deal with bullying.
