Sometimes you have to leave the life you know to get the life you never thought you could have.

Elijah and Gunther have been friends for years, so Elijah didn't hesitate to offer Gunther a place in his clan. He doesn't regret it, but he didn't think about how hard it would be for him to see the man he loves every day without being able to tell him how he feels. There's no way he wants to ruin their friendship, though, especially with everything that's happening around them.

Gunther doesn't regret leaving his coven behind and becoming a clan member, even though it means he spends more time with Elijah than ever. He should be delighted, since he's been in love with his best friend for almost as long as they've known each other, but keeping his feelings to himself is becoming increasingly hard.
