Much Given: A Cold War Thriller

Commencing with the 1968 Tet Offensive in Viet Nam, Much Given is told through the points of view of a Marine intelligence officer, a KGB covert operative, and an FBI agent. The story takes the reader from the war in Viet Nam to KGB headquarters in Moscow to halls of power in Washington D.C. to the murderous criminal underworld of Los Angeles.

Events are driven by the Soviet Union’s launch of Project Red Saber-a covert KGB mission in the United States designed to give the Soviet Union a devastating intelligence advantage over the United States for decades to come. When events go horribly wrong, Vladimir Koransky, the KGB operative in charge of the mission, refuses to concede defeat. He ignores Moscow’s abort order and proceeds with the mission, resulting in a life-and-death chess game between himself and Marine Intelligence Officer Major Michael Alexzinski. Unknown to either man is the third player: Blake Hazelton, an FBI agent with a personal agenda-an obsession with Alexzinski’s wife Ann.

Much Given is the first installment of a trilogy chronicling the rise of the Alexzinski family, an American political dynasty.
